Brooke Garcia

Managing Director and Owner
Brooke is an owner and managing director of the Transfer Care Specialist Academy and 4 Seasons Transportation, located in Calgary, Alberta. During her tenure as managing director, she has spearheaded business development and built a reputation for forging strategic alliances within the transportation industry. Under her leadership, the company has doubled in size each year and continues to grow along this trajectory. Brooke is dedicated to implementing innovative technology and raising industry standards for the transportation of special needs individuals. She regularly speaks at transportation forums and was instrumental in developing the Transfer Care Specialist Academy, which provides advanced training to those working with special needs guests in the transport industry.

Dr. Gabrielle Lidstrom

Curriculum Development
Gabrielle, a professor of national and international Indigenous studies, earned a BA in English and an MA in Native American Studies from the University of Lethbridge. She completed her PhD in Educational Research with a specialization in Adult Learning from the University of Calgary. Her expertise resides in critical cultural studies, curriculum design and critical pedagogy. Dr. Lindstrom has been an integral part of the Academy as our curriculum developer, writing for both our home-base school and our online academy. She was born and raised on Blood reserve and is a member of the Blackfoot Confederacy located in Southern Alberta. In her spare time, Gabrielle enjoys time with her family and is committed to enhancing the learning experiences of mature students.

Elizabeth McNeilly

BA, BSc, MA - Director or Education
Elizabeth comes to us with 15 years in education--teaching secondary schools in the Baltimore area, writing curriculum for Baltimore Country Public Schools, and teaching in the undergraduate Teacher Education program at University of Calgary. She earned a BA English from University of Ottawa, a BSc Education from University of Maryland College Park, and an MA Curriculum & Instruction from Loyola University Maryland. While earning her Administrator I certificate in Maryland, she studied the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), legal issues, and the care of complex needs students. She is currently a doctoral student in Educational Research at University of Calgary with a focus on Adult Learning. She has two adult children of her own pursuing careers in art and computer science.
